Dave has extensive experience working with the National Labs and research universities in the Southwestern US, as well as nationally at the leadership and research-heads levels. Prior to founding Cottonwood Technology Fund, Dave founded and served as Managing Director of Southeast Interactive, the first and largest information technology-focused fund in the Southeast.
While at Southeast Interactive, Dave helped raise three funds totaling more than $175 million. He was directly involved in fundraising and exit transaction events totaling in excess of $1 billion across the portfolio, and he generated cash on cash returns on his directed investments of approximately 4X. Ray is an investment professional with 20+ years experience in global technology assessment, corporate venturing and venture capital investment. He was previously partner and principal investor with Ascendant Global Technology & Total Media Ventures.
Ray has also served in senior strategy and corporate development roles for global technology companies Texas Instruments and Robert Bosch Corporation. In these positions he led competency-driven global corporate strategy development; corporate venturing, global M&A and enabling technology and expansion of global footprints; and expansion of product lines and development of new products and product portfolios.
Ray holds a MBA from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and served as a CGMS Fellow.

Alain has served in board-level positions for 20+ years, specializing in technology, including leadership as a member of the executive committee of multi-national Getronics PinkRoccade and serving as CEO of startup Virobuster Technologies. Alain has been an angel investor since 2008, offering deep expertise in strategy, marketing, product launching, pricing and business acceleration.
Since 2010, Alain has coached more than 100 high-tech startups in Europe, serving in the Business Accelerator for the European Institute for Technology and Innovation. His network in Europe encompasses Paris, Berlin, London, Helsinki, Leuven, Stockholm, Munich and other major cities.
Alain studied at Twente University. In 2001 he graduated cum laude from the Executive MBA program at Business School Nederland.
Alan is Chairman of Sunland Optical Company, Inc. and serves on the boards of Innovate El Paso/Regional Center for Innovation and Commercialization (RCIC) and The HUB of Human Innovation, Investment Committee for the Paso del Norte Health. He was appointed by the Governor of Texas as a founding Director of the Emerging Technology Fund. A graduate of Stanford University, Alan studied at the Florence, Italy campus and holds an MBA from the University of Texas at El Paso. He is also CPA.
Charles serves as an SLP in Cottonwood Funds I and II, sourcing both the Skorpios and Incitor. He is also General Partner in Phase One Ventures, a small ($2M) angel fund, and an active angel investor. He holds a BS in Chemical Engineering with Highest Honors from Montana State University and am MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Charles was previously employed by the Lawrence Livermore National Lab.
